My name is Mason and I am a Beagle mix born approx. 1/20/23. I have learned lots of good stuff while in my foster home. The biggest thing I’ve learned is that I need to go outside to do my business. My foster mom thinks I might need to wear one of those belly bands for a little while when I get adopted just until my new family begins to know my routine. I have been learning how to walk nicely on a leash, I do pretty good unless I smell something interesting, with a little more training I know I can be a great walking companion. I have learned to sit, shake and lay down pretty quickly. You show me treats and I’m pretty eager to learn commands. I am very food and treat motivated! I don’t like my kennel very much. I go in there with a lot of urging but I cry and get very nervous. I get to roam the house when my foster mom is gone and I sleep in her bed at night. I love playing with the resident dog here. I would love to have a furry brother or sister but if people play with me I’m pretty happy too! I don’t think I should live with cats though. I like to chase them, I just want to play, but it irritates the cat and my foster mom. I am very nervous around new people for a short time, but my curiosity gets the better of me and I want to make friends! I do like to counter surf. Nothing with good smells can be left near the edge of a table or counter or I will get it. I’m learning the word off, but I just can’t help myself. My foster mom thinks with time and patience I’ll stop this bad habit. I do get car sick. I like to go places but my tummy doesn’t like it. There are meds for this though so I’m sure we can come up with a way to have fun car trips. I love to cuddle, give kisses and chew on bones.
